Kuote? Kuoter? What are you talking about?

A Kuote is a Lesson of life. You may have learned things in your life after making mistakes or after reaching an accomplishment. These experiences may have thaught you something that you can summarize in a rule. That's a Kuote. E.g. "If you ask a girl out and she says she'll let you know, she will eventually tell you she's busy." Do not copy famous sentences but create your own Kuote, and please try to avoid generic Kuotes like "love your friends" or "behave nicely", these are not interesting and will probably be squashed by moderators. Post specific, witty and brilliant Kuotes, these are more likely to get voted!

Mhh sounds interesting, tell me more about posting Kuotes?

When you post a Kuote please try to be as concise as possible. There is a lenght restriction of 300 characters. If you feel you need to give more context, you can do it in the “The Story” box, where you can describe the episode from which you've learned your Kuote or give more details and explain your idea.

What about votes? How do users vote me and how does the whole score system work?

At the bottom right corner of your Kuote you can see two icons: Thumbs up and Thumbs down. If a user thinks what you said is smart he'll give you a thumbs up and you get a +1. If he thinks you're talking garbage, it's a Thumbs down for you bro and you get a -1. The score of your Kuote will be calculated from the aggregate result of thumbs up or down. E.g. If yuou get 10 Thumbs up and 2 down the aggregate score of your Kuote will be +8. The aggregate score of all your Kuotes will give you your Kuoter score.

Are there any rules to follow?

Yes, there are some basic rules, listed below:

- Your Kuote must be a "rule of life" you have come up with from your own experience;
- Do not copy sentences from other authors (don't post hundreds of quotations from Oscar Wilde, they will be deleted);
- Do not copy Kuotes from other users;
- Do not post personal information (phone numbers, addresses, names, etc.);
- Do not use obscene language and do not be offensive to other users.

Examples of invalid Kuotes:

- Steven Smith is always late (contains personal information)
- My brain? That´s my second favourite organ (funny, but it's not a rule of life)
- It is a good thing for an uneducated man to read books of quotations. (This is a quote from Winston Churchill)

If you think that a Kuote breaks any of these rules, contact us.
